Spooks Page

High Reach MarketingHi my name’s Spook and I arrived here at Bluebell Barn bed and Breakfast at the end of August. I came from Scotland and am training to be a dog that helps blind people.

I was already 17 months old when I arrived at Bluebell Barn and for some reason, Sasou, who resides here permanently, thought it was his responsibility to keep me in order; we have an understanding now, I just let him think he’s top dog, but I know different…

I’m here until April time when I then go off and do my big boy training, (whatever that might be) and have already grown very close to my human mum as we go shopping and do all sorts of things together, the other human in the house calls me “a mummy’s boy”; whatever that is?

I’m always really pleased to see others of my kind come visiting here and love to play, but sometimes I do have to put a jacket on, and at least pretend to do some work. I know my left and right and I know how to find a step; and I now wait patiently to go through a gate instead of trying to get through first; which is a bit of a bore.

Unlike Sasou, I am in training with pathfinder dogs (www.pathfinderdogs.org) and I will apparently end up with a qualification. Don’t know what that is but I hope I can eat it. Mum and Dad are “puppy trainers” and if that is what I am, then judging by the size of me now, I will grow up to be a horse.

If you go to the Bluebell Barn News Page you can see me getting the star treatment at Sainsbury’s - I’m the alert looking one.

Well, I’ll just say, before I go and annoy Sasou again, that I very much look forward to welcoming you and your humans to Bluebell Barn, whilst I’m still here.
