Karen and Mark welcome you to our family run bed and breakfast accommodation with a friendly and informal atmosphere, in an ideal setting from which to explore Norfolk and where you can escape to the peace of rural Norfolk and enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Originally converted as part of the TV programme “Homefront”, Bluebell Barn bed and breakfast is situated near Banham in Norfolk (30 minutes from Norwich and 40 minutes from Bury St Edmunds) and has been lovingly restored into a substantial family home, and tasteful and comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation.

Set amongst an acre of grounds surrounded by panoramic views, we are ideally situated for our guests to get away from it all but still conveniently placed for the business traveller to reach Norfolk’s bustling business community.

Regarded by all as a “dog-friendly hotel”, if you have a four legged friend to bring along you are welcome to bring them along too, just let us know in advance and we will manage the rest. (Please note - we have our own dog on site (See Sasou’s page). Clean and well behaved pets are welcome in the “Rose” and “Bluebell” rooms by prior arrangement.

Although the entire site of Bluebell Barn B & B is not fully wheelchair accessible (gravel drive / car park and occasional small step-ups) the accommodation and main public areas are suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Unrestricted off-street parking for 10+ cars and this ample car parking is free with easy access to all rooms inclusive of private room entrances.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the Bluebell Barn’s impressive main hall and traditional English Aga-cooked or Continental breakfasts are prepared to order. All of our breakfast ingredients are sourced locally and our eggs are free range.

Braille menus are available for blind and partially sited guests.

Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Bluebell Barn bed and breakfast has a fully licensed bar for guests to relax in, and we have excellent pubs and restaurants within easy driving distance, and we will be pleased to reserve a table for you for dinner. Our bar licensing hours are from 12.00 noon until 11pm subject to our own availability.

Located close to Old Buckenham and Banham, Bluebell Barn is ideally placed for Norwich, Snetterton Motor Racing Circuit, Banham Zoo, and places of interest in the Breckland area including Thetford Forest, Old Buckenham Airfield, Bressingham Steam Museum and Gardens and Wymondham. Beyond this, the area’s attractions range from the unspoilt coast, with its justly famous nature reserves and wildlife sanctuaries, through a wide selection of stately homes and museums, to an ever-increasing range of gastronomic delights.

Booking Terms and Cancellation Policy:
All bookings at Bluebell Barn B & B require a one night deposit at the time of booking which is non-refundable 48 hours prior to arrival. All “no shows” are charged at the full rate for the nights stay and all prices quoted are inclusive of breakfast’.

Check-in Time: 1500 hrs - Check out Time: 1100 hrs on day of departure.

Bluebell Barn accepts no responsibility for your personal belongings whilst left on site and unattended - all items are left at the risk of the owner.
